The reason I mention I work in IT when mentioning the cameras is because you will need to know how to manually run Ethernet, POE network switch, how to set static IPs, open/close ports, configure software to work with the cameras. Ring and other products like that make it easier, but manually doing it will always get you the best quality. Also my server cost around $1300 since it has a lot of processing and over 20tb of storage space. (Running 4K 24/7 and easy)

This is a good video, I use Ankke security cameras which are one of the best 4K cameras and Blue Iris software which handles all the processing (facial recognition, license plate reading, recording processing, etc…)
