The amazing thing about NATO is it shows the true colors of entitlement for many countries as if security should come for free or very little. Meanwhile you have many less-wealthy countries (Poland, Greece, Estonia) paying their fair share or even going above the fiscal target that every country signed up for.

One thing you'll see when you go to the NATO website or their YouTube channel is that the supreme commanders are American. A lot of the most important equipment like the new shields are also American. Americans also dictate the vast majority of everything NATO does.. if Obama merely hints at not liking something, it's quickly removed or fixed. It's a form of imperialism that doesn't have to exist but the reality is America pays for the vast majority of NATO - they deserve those privileges, period.

I just find it real funny hearing a lot about American imperialism (it does exist) but then when actually looking just slightly under the covers of why that is, it's clear. Obama constantly is talking about countries not meeting their obligations, when he travels to Europe for the last time next month.. I bet that's going to be mentioned behind closed doors. So it's not that the US wants to foot the bill but rather many European leaders are perfectly fine with American hegemony so long as they get that nearly-free protection.
