Poll for Rule 8 Change

I remember when frequent posters left because of the rules (like /u/zephr0x). I laughed and was like whatever. I thought they were being too sensitive and overreacting. Now I see why they left. This sub's premise was simple: post a picture of a person tied to Korean entertainment. Now that simple premise is replaced with a wall of convoluted rules and unnecessary bullshit.

If you mods put as much effort into ideas like weekly themes instead of these complex rules, maybe the variety problem in this sub would solve itself. You can't say you don't have the time for it, because you obviously do.

Additionally, certain idols are ALWAYS going to be popular and there's nothing you can do about it. They are popular for a reason. People like them and want to see them. So why are you going to control what the people want? Your post really says it all: "the results of this poll will play a factor in our decision for what change will be implemented but is NOT definitively the change we will go with. " You might as well say that you will let users vote but you won't necessarily go with what the community wants, because in the end you're just gonna do whatever the fuck you wanna do anyway. So why bother? You're just giving people the illusion that they have a say in the matter.

Instead of voting for rules, I think it's time to vote for moderators. Let's turn back the dial by about a year or so.

I remember when this sub was enjoyable, when this sub had themes, when this sub didn't have Joey over-moderating the shit out of it because he apparently has nothing else to do. Not to mention witnessing all the posts he removed because of "bad quality" and whatnot, just to proceed with posting some shit quality twitter pic of his own. I flagged the post, cited which rule it broke, but guess what, the post always remained. Because it was a moderator's post.

This isn't a personal attack, Joey, but I think your moderating skills are terrible. And I don't think I'm alone with this opinion. I have you flagged as "double standard mod" for a reason. It's not 100% your fault though. Every mod above you shares the blame since they have allowed you to run this sub into the ground.
