Quick community poll regarding posting of remixes/original tracks

Very good post here, ill give my two cents on what should be best for this sub-reddit, coming from a slightly cynical member but someone who still wants to see high-quality content being posted, including fan-made tracks.

I think there is a large difference between Remixes and Original Tracks. I love remixes, if a RDJ song exists it's gonna be fucking top right, so I can't get enough of people interpretations, because it all uses the same source material and just adds the persons own spin on it. That Every Day cover that was posted in the "We Care" thread was lush, and stuff like that would and should deserve it's own thread. So what I think is that all remixes should be posted as separate posts, however there has to be a baseline of quality, anything sounding like not much effort went into it should be removed. Because with something subjective like music, that's all you can really measure. This will encourage remixes to be made, as well as the MIDI database will that I am making, that this weekend I will sort out for you guys, it's been slow moving lately, college deadlines can be a bitch.

Now onto Own Tracks. I think a sticky thread is a very clean way to tackle this, it still gives exposure and quality control (upvotes/downvotes), while not clogging up the sub-reddit with things that frankly don't relate directly to RDJ or his music. There is however an exception I think, and that is for bigger releases like albums. If you spent a fuckton of time and effort on an album or collection of tracks that you want to release for free, you should fucking well deserve a separate post. For something like this I don't see why ANYONE would have a problem, people put hard work into a project, it should get the exposure it deserves.

Hope you can take something of substance out of this, and Praxin, don't agree with the last line, hes been known to hit this subreddit exactly twice (1tuss1love & wheatpin_x). :P
