/r/MusicProduction Thursday Feedback Thread

Just starting playing with production using logic Pro in the last two weeks.

I'm a singer-songwriter who typically writes folky ballads on the piano but have been trying to explore more of a

pop/rnb/lofi sound thats more contemporary.

This is the first track that I've actually been pretty excited about. Vocals are super rough (one take) but any tips on mastering / mixing / sounds are appreciated. I'm definitely still a beginner, just learned about using bus' today so definitely try to dumb down suggestions lol. I have been struggling a lot with compression and mixing audio levels. I think i just have too much going on so the gain is overloading the main output. Any tips? I mix wearing my beats headphones since I don't have studio speakers so maybe that is part of the issue.

Pls dont be too harsh
