| 1. | ORE | +1 | The offense had its issues in the rose bowl, and I think the biggest issue all year long was a reluctance to let the QB run. Even just the threat of it would have opened things up for this team. Regardless, the ducks proved that they're really the only PAC12 team capable of going toe to toe with a powerhouse Big10/SEC program and matching their physicality. It was a good sign that they could walk out with a win without playing their best game on offense. The cream of the crop this year, next year's opening slate will tell us a lot about how the Ducks are going to fare post-Herbert, but the rose bowl was encouraging. |
| 2. | UTAH | -1 | Woof. I love the Utes, and I think that they're a better team than what they showed in their last two games, but they looked over matched against UO and Texas. Hard to argue with an 11 win season, but this one felt a little hollow. |
| 3. | WASH | +3 | It'll be interesting to see what changes come in the Jimmy Lake era. The huskies are clearly still talented, but we haven't seen them be a dominant team at the same time as UO in a while. I'll be looking forward to seeing the huskies and Ducks play this year. |
| 4. | ASU | +1 | ASU is a tough team to rank for me. None of their victories were by particularly comfortable margins, but they had a knack for getting it done, and they're really young. I'll be excited to see what year three of firm for Herm brings. |
