Can someone who knows way more than I do explain to me why Larry Scott is still in power?

ASU President Michael Crow favors him. I'm not an expert and definitely don't have reliable sources, but my understanding is that the revenue sharing and agreements on splitting broadcasting time have been successful in promoting the ASU brand and served as a stable source of income needed during stadium renovations..so if that's accurate I can't really blame him for being opposed to removing Scott. Particularly with how it has somewhat leveled the playing field in recruiting players, coaches against established and historical conference powers. Ironically, if we actually have a bit more success in basketball and football Crow is likely to turn on Scott, because revenue splits would no longer benefit us if we, for example, are the only team playing in the NCAA tournament and make a decent run.
