Well that's not what we do. I haven't seen fallout. You only get fallout from abusive use of aversives. I have a bit of a headache but to sum up you're doing it wrong if your aversive is causing anything other than a response of "oh hey bud, forgot you were there while I was doing the thing, you need something?" You're also doing it wrong if that check in and isn't immediately reinforced and then focus directed into desired behaviors with loads of positive reinforcement for good things.

They should not cause pain. They should not cause fear. They should not cause a dog to have fallout. I'm sorry your dog was abused by a bad person. That's not my aim and that's not what happens with my dogs, per numerous reports from adopters.
