Readers on here; punctuating reading cycles

A very large chunk of my reading is fantasy but not 100%. The thing is I do read a lot of speculative fiction generally and some of that (especially sci-fi) is crossed with fantasy as well (ie. Science fantasy). The number of fantasy books and science fantasy books I read in a year heavily outweigh other genres, but I do also read a fair amount of historical fiction (especially medieval/ancient historical fiction ), mystery, a bit of horror and gothic fiction, dystopian and apocalyptic fiction, and of course straight up science fiction. I can't say I really get bored with fantasy though. After finishing a fantasy series or after reading several (3-5 books) from one particular fantasy series I usually break things up with something lighter or a quicker read like a mystery, or something that's just somehow a change of pace/scenery.
