SA Professionals relationship with EdTech

First, if you are pitching Ed tech products to me, you better know the financial position of my school. When someone pitches, say, a res hall Software management suite for $40k implementation plus extra $$ for yearly upgrades and training, they don’t understand that I literally have five res halls of two hundred students each.

I have a policy: if you reach out, I’ll listen to your pitch. But my first question before you say anything is “how much does it cost?” I’ll tell you whether it’s even feasible or not. You choose to do the pitch or bail.

Almost all edtech is helpful, especially to the schools that can afford the full solution. But in the end, most schools can’t afford it unless you prorate it for the school size or offer a free trial.
