Ornstein [The Athletic Q&A]: "Arsenal completely reject suggestions they are looking at potential replacements for Emery. Whether or not that's true, they can't say anything else."

Because they're hoping some real pressure will get some better results. Lets be honest, do we want Jose, Allegri or Enrique? All of them seem better than Emery (they are), but is that who you want manning the ship for the next few years, do any of them scream Arsenal? Our current crop do not fit any of their systems, so we'll have to do another rebuild and oddly enough, I'd only want that with Enrique, since I was actually impressed with how he managed MSN to attack. None of them will accept an interim, so we'll be stuck with someone again we're not totally happy with.

They must not have faith in Freddie, I disagree, but I'm an idiot in London who has watched his youth teams play hungover on my computer, so what do I actually know?

So. The best case scenario in the eyes of the board are to hopefully light a fire under Emery's arse so that he gets some results. I don't agree with him being manager, but if it's at the expense of someone they don't trust as interim or one of those 3 square pegs we're trying to fit into a round hole, I'll hope he can turn it around til Summer.

Ideally, I still wanna see Freddie. Arteta could be fun, but I also doubt he leaves Pep for an interim job, so once again, we ask, do we place our faith in an unproven Arteta?

If top 4 is craocked because this dude just failed. He needs to put all his chips into Europa and do what he's known for. Winning that fucking thing. Then we can get a real manager in the summer with UCL to vrag
