I watched his entire three hour nterview with Putin. He barely challenges him at all and seems completely smitten. It's ridiculous. I think Putin just played to his ego and made him feel important. He seems convinced they're both on the right side of history cause they're both critical of American Imperialism. But somehow Stone has no qualms with Russian Imperialism (among other things). It's baffling. The way Putin has co-opted America's internal critics, through RT and social media and useful idiots like Stone, really bothers me. How people fall into this Coke vs Pepsi thing, when both options are toxic as hell... It's utterly baffling to me how Oliver Stone can simultaneously make JFK and fully question official US narratives, and yet buy Putin's narratives hook line and sinker.
