Saw this beauty yesterday. Anyone know the year? Early 70s?

YW. I’ve had 9, 2nd gen Camaros. My first one I got when I was 14, I’m 50 now. Here’s some great info for early camaro enthusiasts.

There is no such thing as a 70 1/2 camaro !

Only 1970 camaros had:

An all chrome valance emblem

Short seats with small head rests

The front marker lights don’t blink with the turn signals

It’s the only year that you could get a 12 bolt rearend

The head light pull knob is all black

And a added tip: split bumpers was a RS option !! It’s a appearance package and nothing else. So when you see a split bumper Camaro, a true one has big parking lights right beside the headlights. A regular Camaro with added bumper- ettes, has a banana style turn signal / marker light, under the bumper.
