A lot of companies will pay to move you. I applied for an apprentice program, and made the Irish equivalent of minimum wage for a year, and then got a job with a company that needed people overseas. Housing was paid for. Became a foreman, and made enough to go to school and work part time when I got back. Took a few years, got an engineering degree, and went abroad again, and made enough to pay off the balance of my (U.S.) university costs. Took a job in another country, and got licensed. Moved to the U.S., got an engineering job, and then moved back to the construction side.

The key is to find a job that is less desirable, means travel, and covers housing. All the better if it means reduced taxes too. Here in the U.S. it can mean moving for an oil field/fracking job in the South or West. Turnover is high, but they'll help you get started initially. The work sucks, but if you stay away from burning money on drugs and/or alcohol, and learn a related trade, you can do well. I have several welders who did that, and now make enough to live fairly comfortably on Long Island.
