Seven Anti 2A LSRs submitted by incumbent NH State Representatives

I actually wonder if a lot of this intended to score political points, with little expectation of the legislation being passed.

I’m also wondering about the benefits to reaching out to lawmakers and educating them about what they are trying to regulate. Case in point, the stereotypical AR15 owner is a mentally unstable knuckle dragger that is itching to commit mass murder. I’m probably the only one in my club that doesn’t own an AR (yet), and there’s not a single wannabe mass murderer in our group. They use their AR15s for long range competitions, they carefully reload their ammunition to within exacting specifications, and they sink big $$$ into the equipment they use to get a competitive edge.

Also, it strikes me that there’s no evidence that connects any of the proposed legislation with a specific goal. Let’s pick on the proposal to prevent the possession or discharge of a firearm in a school zone. So… what data is there to suggest that this proposal is any better than the existing laws? And if someone is firing a weapon in a school zone, they probably have a lot more felonies in mind than simply making noise.
