THe only thing I have to say is that I have heard do not shoot the WW2 surplus Remington Ball or AP round through a Garand. It has a different looking primer too.
The understanding is this was Machine Gun ammo and ran pretty hot.

I have one example of this ammo in an AP round. Primer is all Corrosive up and I am deciding if to keep and collect or tear apart and compare powder to another load of the era.
