I mean I've got like 3 EGS games I play at all (MW5, Total War: Troy, and Outer Wilds). The EGS client is open on my computer only if those games are played and is launched through GOG 2.0, which then closes them the second the game stops being ran.

EGS isn't going to kill your computer, it isn't going to rape your children and steal your wife. You'll live if Far Cry 6 is on EGS. If the game is worth playing, it won't kill you to get it there instead of steam.

It didn't kill me to get games on Origin when EA was doing origin-only things. I played Mass Effect 3, Battlefield 3 and 4, and Dragon Age inquisition just fine.
