Idk I had been abused my entire childhood life. There are ways to react to it as a victim. Not disregarding that he is a victims of abuse. But you can either insist what your parents are doing is either necessary or out of love and thus justified, or you can resent your parents, understand they’re horrible people and work to never perpetuate it and attempt to stop or mitigate it if you witness it else where. My sibling chose the former, I chose the latter, my other sibling chose to forget it and just not think about it. Do I hate my sibling who chose the former? Yes. Were they a victim as well? Yes. Child abuse is a matter of life and death, I think it’s one of those issues that should be seen with less nuanced. Children opposed to abuse are very often fighting for their own literal lives, sometimes we have to take hard sides and it’s the case with abuse.
