"Sleep Token - The Summoning" Okay, so I will admit that I am a very new fan. Sleep Token absolutely blew my mind with this song. What did you think? I'm freaking in love with this song. They might not exactly be super djenty but you can certainly hear the influences in this song specifically!

Their 2. Album had to grow on me a bit, since it was this singer songwriter with electronic elements, sometimes piano, then suddenly djent, then back to soft again... Some songs are just completely once again. I get when someone doesn't like them. They go from up and down, from soft to heavy af, from left to right, often within one song.

But i come to love them. How often do we had listened to metal albums that won't offer anything new after 1 -3 songs? Sleep Token has so much variety, they mix it up so well, the heavy have a huge impact if it's used sparingly, the soft parts always have new sounds but maintain the darker atmosphere, the voice is nothing you can get enough of and they just get better and better with every release. I learned to appreciate the many faces their music has to offer. They are bold with their approach, knowing they can get more fans and the singer could storm the charts within a snap if he wants to, but they didn't choose that. Art above wealth and fame.

I respect them and love their music. But i won't hit anyone up with an "Akhuallyy..." comment, if they don't. I even get why someone won't like them, they vary a lot, making it hard to convince everyone. But it's not for everyone. For the pop fans it's too heavy, for the fans of heavy it's too soft, and that's ok. They master what they do and I'm glad about it.
