For some reason I guess I always held the S;G fanbase to a higher standard than other anime but I should've known that the breed of cringy shit that anime fans manage to conjure up is an infection that destroys everything. I'm still gonna upvote because I think in the long run you just helped me, this is what I needed to recognize that just being associated with whatever demographic the anime community largely consists of is a net drag on not only my life but society at large.
