Summers in Nebraska vs Arizona

Was typing up my own reply but saw this, OP this right here.

I'll add to their post a bit, while we can get really hot and muggy the difference is we have breaks in it. For instance about a week ago we were tapping into the upper 90s with high humidity and little to no wind, it makes you feel like you exist in a bowl of hot soup. But it's not long term, eventually the ridge moves on and we get enjoyable temps with a light breeze for a bit as well. I think in the summer that makes the difference. I spent one deployment in Al Asad Iraq, it's hot a hell there almost every day and that's just miserable.

As BagsOfGasoline said, you have to consider the flip side with winter. This is the deal breaker for me sometimes. I literally just hate it here some winters. This last one wasn't too bad but I think it was the one before where we had like -20F temps for a week at least and we got hammered with snow all winter. It's great for the environment, don't get me wrong, but it's really bad for my nerves. I think for here, all the other seasons are manageable and mostly enjoyable but fuck winter.
