Those are the worst. I've tried them all before dedicating a rebuildable to it. If you want convenience, make your own e-liquid. If you want a quality dab experience from a battery, use a rebuildable.

Honestly, I stopped using a nail after getting my set-up as is. From what I've tried so far, using twisted wire makes the whole thing more efficient. I haven't experimented as much as I'd like, but I found that twisted 32 gauge works better than 28g & so forth. It seems to catch more of the liquid as it begins to boil, preventing splatter on larger hits. Anyways, I made large 1/8 diameter coils. Right now, only 7 wraps as I was short on wire, but they get the job done.

I use no wick. Wicks seem to destroy good flavor & add a bit of their own stench.

The KEY, is determining how hot you can get the coils, without them glowing, as you draw. On my chimney-less orchid, I can pull ~25 watts on a regulated mod. The reason I do this is because flavor goes up with heat, but when the kanthal gets so hot it glows, the flavor goes to shit. Not sure if that's the oil burning, or something more funky with the metal itself, but it's not good.

With this method, I get better flavor than from my rigs. The only downside is you cannot dab an obnoxious amount like you can with a nail. After you pass a certain threshold, the coils aren't able to vape everything, and you end up turning too much to reclaim in your atty. If you dab a gram every couple of days, this isn't for you. I, personally, am still able to get uncomfortably high from 1 hit of my e-rig though.
