Tsukki was already familiar with the quick before, and that also could be seen as kind of fluky since the quick didn’t seem to have quite the same speed on it.

And the Miya twins quick itself has the same weaknesses as the quick from season 1 and it isn’t quite as accurate, but some people don’t seem to notice and that’s kind of an underrated feat for Osamu as a hitter tbh. And plus they are just trying it out mid-game, so obviously it isn’t as polished.

Yeah it did take awhile for it to work, and if that was Tendo, Rintaro would probably be a lot more tentative from the start and not spam the cross shot. I don’t believe we ever see Tsukki changing hands mid-air, but we have with Tendo.
