TIL that an /r/Gonewild gril was brutally e-harrassed by seven douchebags, until a memeful of Nice Guys chased the douchebags away and proceeded to stay with and protect the gril until she friendzoned them all.

Last night at work (retail store, working on my phD atm) I was walking around the store and noticed a couple arguing. I approached them and asked if they needed any help and the gril turned away like she was hiding her tears.

The guy just said "no we're good, right honey?" And she just nodded with the back of her head facing me. Even with her face turned away I could tell she was beautiful with delicate features.

I walked away but kept close 'cause something didn't feel right. They eventually walked out of the store and I watched them just to make sure something wasn't gonna happen, but sadly I saw something that required swift action (luckily I do High-Intensity Interval Training [HIIT] so I sprint pretty hard).

He grabbed her arm and yanked her towards him and started yelling and talking down to her. I got the security guard to go ahead and call the ambulance just in case I had to put the hurt on this neanderthal. I went out there and approached him.

Me: "sir, do you mind me asking just what the hell you're doing?" (wasn't even winded even though I sprinted across the parking lot)

Him: "not you again, go the fuck away."

I ignored him.

Me: "ma'am are you okay?"

Obviously crying she didn't respond. Then the unexpected happened.

The dude grabbed her hair right in front of me and tried to pull her into the car just yelling "get in the fucking car, we're leaving."

So I grabbed the car door. Dude couldn't even budge it because my grip was too strong (even though it was 'ceps day and I did sets to failure, lol)

Then he slapped me. A slap? I knew this dickhead was a little weakling on the inside just trying to prove he's some kind of alpha male. He must have noticed my thin frame and figured I was some kind of cardiofag (just ectomorph).

He tries to slap me again. Big mistake. Dodge, sweep the leg. Ground and pound. Needless to say he didn't get up after that.

I stood up and, as I wiped the blood from my knuckles with my handkerchief, said to the girl "Are you okay?"

Obviously still in shock from witnessing such overwhelming righteous fury directed at her (former) tormentor, she remained silent for a few seconds. Then, suddenly, she bursts into tears and throws her arms around my neck. We kissed until the cops showed up.

We married shortly after. She now runs a battered girlfriend shelter/Lean In and I'm a martial arts consultant for the local police department (never finished that phD, haha).

Edit 1: wow my first gold! Thanks a ton kind internet strangler!

Edit 2: so I see some negative responses out there, let me clarify. Frist, abuse can happen to both men and women, I agree. Secondly, I shouldn't generalize all men, just stating from my own experience. 3rd, I'm just sharing my story, if you're trying to pick arguments, this isn't the place to do so.

Edit 3: you all should see my upbox right now. I have internet roughboys calling me faggot and telling me they wish the guy had shot me in the head cause I was nosey. Also calling me a white knight and saying my story is fake. You guys make me laugh.
