Toyota iQ as family car - am I kidding myself?

Yeah, speaking from experience here, mom of one driving a sporty Camry. As someone else said, you don’t need the SUV and you definitely don’t need a mini van to tote around kids. What you will appreciate though is some extra space. Stroller room, room for the car seat, room for a bag. Having a baby joining you for the ride is already a little bit more of a mental strain, so definitely do yourself a favor and do it for the quality of life. I’d say upgrade to a Corolla/corolla hatch, even. Or a Camry.

Another aspect is safety. I got in a bad car wreck with a Camry a couple weeks ago, walked away fine. It saved me. Something to think about and a new perspective with kids.
