Weims and jobs

Weims are great learners and mine loves swimming and fetch. Also has a very high prey drive. My boy is almost 1 but still very puppy like. He has lots of energy and runs abt 2-5 miles 7 days a week. He's a very silly boy, excellent recall. He helps us with dog sitting and is very social, sweet boy. He's also very silly and clumsy! So I could never imagine him being a service dog ( has a lot of work to go on lead) my sister and I joke that we are his service animals bc our lives revolve around him and his needs. We pack up and take him to the river for a hike and swim daily and seeing his joy running and swimming gives me joy

The main thing I'd recommend when getting a weim is that you have another person/ partner who also wants him bc they are a lot of work and I'd say 2 ppl is better than 1 when getting any dog. Weimaraners are sporting dogs and I don't think I've ever heard of one being a service dog. You can't and shoudlnt try to change a dogs personality just to fit your needs. Get the kind of dog that could live up to these extreme expectations or adjust your expectations as well for any dog you choose to get. I just take it day by day and enjoy my dog bc he's the best and I love him. Our first weim was a girl and lived to 17. These are great dogs and they are very strong! They are gentle but also mouthy. I'm curious abt this breeder you talked to but maybe it's possible to make them service animals.
