The professor waddled in, his roots struggling to climb up the wooden stairs that led to the podium. Notably sapping, he started his speech.

"Vello all, mein name isch Adolf Birchwood, your new Wizard Cultural Diversity professor! In vis class you vill learn very many exciting things about the areas where most wizards originate and live. I meinself hail from ze mighty Austrian Empire, born in a town near the German border. I moved around a lot vit my planters, but anyvays, do any of you saplings have questions?"At that he shuffled away from the podium, his leaves slightly swaying in the breeze.

He looks beautiful! Barrky thought. He tentatively raised his branch and softly asked, "Sir, how long do you think you'll be here at Logwartz?"

Adolf pursed his mouth opening at the thought, "Hopevully forever, but I can imagine meinself getting into certain, disagreements, with other teachers."

Three weeks after, the deaths started. At first there appeared to be no pattern. A male here, a female there. Then one started emerging. Palms, furs, apples, and evergreens, none fell to the Wizard Cultural Diversity class. Only weeping willows disappeared.

"Vey are genetcally inferior! THEY VRING NOTHING TO VE WORLD! LET US BURN THEM ALL!"

Barrky himself has cleansed over 50 students, each of them earning a mark carved upon his trunk. The first time they met Adolf, no one had questioned the fact that he had thousands of marks all over his barky. After all, he was a veteran of the first and second grove wars. Many things had happened that no one spoke of now.

Barrky was a god amognst saplings. After honing his craft with Adolf Birchwood for 6 years he emerged from Logwartz a new tree. Grown. Hardened. Rooted. He developed a talent, ebery one of his killed were burned, and the ashes put into a pot. Each pot was sent by mail to Birchwood's palace. Where the pots were smashed, and their contents used to fertilize the Enperor's gardens.
