I have a very first world dilemma! I'm just over $250 away from platinum at Ulta for 2021. I placed a decent sized order on Christmas Eve using most of my hoarded points and the 20% off code.

Long story involved but I'm returning the whole order. As per Ulta's customer service, I will have until the end of the first quarter (March) to use the points from this order.

So, my question is, should I buy a gift card for the total needed to be platinum in 2021 that way I have the whole year to accrue points/utilize promotions, etc? I probably won't spend a dime more than the total of the gift card this year if my spending in 2020 is any indication. What would you do?
