What is the best way for a completely computer illiterate person to store gopro footage?

This is a longer option but will be easier to use once set up, Maybe you could set it up for him if it is a bit more complicated for him. Providing his TV supports DLNA you could download Plex onto his PC, Set it up along with a folder where everything he wants to view will be stored, if the pc has a lack of storage maybe buy an internal/external drive dedicated for video files. Make sure that the Plex Server has DLNA enabled, as most tv's dont support the official Plex app without additional hardware so you will have to use it as a DLNA server.Guide Make sure the TV which supports DLNA has an Ethernet port connecting it to the home network which has the PC located on. Then in your TV's DLNA settings point it to the Plex server(PC's Local IP with Plex Port). Add all the content into the folder, you may need to manually refresh it, but if I remember correctly Plex does it automatically anyway. Hope this helped anyway, Things I have said may not be entirely correct as I am going from memory, If you need things in more detail maybe look up a guide on "Using Plex for TV DLNA server" or something like that.
