I’m also highly functioning and have overcome alot, much abuse, career very well, traveled/lived from scratch in 3 different states, top physical shape. Very interesting that we have these things in common! ..one thing I heard is that most sex addicts have way above average intelligence. Also it’s one of the very hardest to quit. I’ve quit smoking several times for many years each time, quit drugs, quit weed - was a chronic daily smoker. Sex addiction is very serious, I didn’t realize it was so bad, I honestly think I’d feel better about myself if I was a drunk..i used getting high on sex to replace drugs on purpose in my early 20’s. Then there’s the high sex drive, which he doesn’t seem to have if he turns you down? Also hyper sexuality is a sign of bipolar. Don’t mean to ramble, good luck to you. I think he’s in denial how serious this is, has to realize it and get help. A lot of healing is involved for both if you..i so relate to you guys
