People are claiming the tax bill will increase the deficit by 1.5t over 10 years. Is this a misunderstanding or intentional dishonesty/propoganda

cutting taxes in this way does not trickle down

Why do democrats keep screeching about trickle down? This isn't trickle down. Stop accusing this of being trickle down economics so that you can say it doesn't work.

The point here is not trickle down but rather to just get tax rates to be competitive with other first world countries such that foreign investors begin bringing more of their business to the US.

The US is one of the best markets in the entire world, many people trade here despite a 35% business tax rate (which foreign investors pay often in full due to not having government connections to help them find loopholes). At 20-24%, the American Market becomes infinitely more enticing to foreign rich people who now want to start employing people here, producing products and selling them.

It's a common conservative trope that it does

It really isn't. I was a leftist up until June last year where I became a Trump supporter. The left loves talking about how dumb the right is for thinking Trickle Down economics works. I've been on the right for over a year now and have never heard anyone discuss Trickle Down economics. I am fairly of the belief that leftists don't actually know what conservatives think and just presume that their arguments and beliefs are all ridiculous and easily debunked because its easier than believing that there are other intellectuals out there who completely disagree with you.
