What happened at IBC over the weekend?

This was posted in Ithaca is Crazy and the manager who refused the ID said she was just doing her job and that the group of people were verbally harassing her and being extremely rude - so much so that she said if they didn’t leave she had no choice but to call the cops.

I mean look, the girl was just doing her job. Serving someone without an ID can have some serious consequences and people in the service industry get treated like dog shit all the time.

Here’s my question: (I haven’t read the reviews or listened to that video since it is now private) what else could this manager have done to deescalate the situation and get these people out without calling the cops? She said she tried to talk to them and give them all refunds but that they continued giving her so many problems, she had no choice.

ALL OF THE WORDS ABOVE ARE FROM HER POST, NOT MY OWN OPINION. That’s why I’m asking what’s the alternative thing to do without getting the cops involved? Was that the issue or was it that she said the word “visa” (which maybe the customer used an ID?)
