I'm using this as an example. This isn't the actual amount of funds in my account nor is it all my money I have for investing. I have several brokerage accounts set up with more than one broker and each account has a specific purpose. The only reason I am asking this is because it can sometimes take more than a day for deposits to settle if I'm shuffling money around between accounts. It would be better to have a set amount of settled cash in whatever account I'm using, but depending on what is moving and when it is moving, I may be selling CCs from one account and CSP from another.
Not sure how you think I am trying to be a story of turning two grand into a hundred grand, but whatever...
Maybe I put too many words there and confused people. The root of the question is, if I write an option, how long does it take for the funds collected from the premium to settle? Is it t+1 just like buy-sell?
