S7E7 Commentary: David Benioff confirms how Tyrion was really feeling during this scene

I frankly think this is dumb. I am tired of the Dany man harem. Why can't Tyrion be someone who has an interesting ark, who is conflicted between Dany and his family, and who may betray his queen for his family?

As for Tyrion being jealous of Jon, unless Dany-Tyrion is supposed to be a thing, I am not sure why. Tyrion is the Hand. He is Dany's most influential advisor. Jon is Daario. He is the "pet Northerner." No one takes him seriously; Cersei mocks him as a kept servant. No one takes a mistress or even consort seriously. I forgot the last time that anyone cared what Prince Philip had to say.

As for the scene that people think suggests that they are equals, it doesn't. Jon is incredibly servile in it and defers to Dany's lead. It is clearly her decision, not his. It is even more submissive in the outline if I remember correctly Jon had to submissively receive mistress's permission to speak with Theon. (I think that June is more assertive to her captors in the Handmaid's Tale, just saying.)
