With 20 minutes till sundown, a dust storm rolled over the mountains and created an ethereal perspective; Big Bend National Park, Texas. @pingzer [OC] [7244 × 6654]

I spend a lot of time in Big Bend National Park and every time I visit, it seems the weather gives me something new. This evening, I was up in the Chisos Mountains waiting for sunset. Visibility was amazing, you could see for miles and miles, but about 20 minutes before sundown, the wind whipped up and dust began to thicken in the air. For a minute, I was disappointed, but nasty weather creates unusual photos and I loved how well this haze created a minimalistic view of these old familiar mountain peaks.

You can find a lot more of my work on insta @pingzer or my website. Shot with a Canon 5dMkiv and Canon EF24-105 f4.
