With all the talk about fragile masculinity, I find it ironic to see such a display of fragile femininity every time they see an idealistic version of the female form.

It's funny that it happens when women OR men draw sexy women. Or idealized bodies in general, male or female. They decry it all as 'power fantasy' as if fantasizing isn't a healthy part of a human life. To me it represents our times, we don't trust each other, not even to fantasize, so everyone is vying for control over each other's minds so they can finally feel safe. Somewhere in the last 20 or 30 years we started to see sexuality and sensuality as an unhealthy thing, maybe even a dangerous, threatening thing.

Makes me sad, because I remember seeing people fight the puritan mindset to unleash their sexuality, now it's being crammed back in a box again in the name of ... purity.
