Cork City FC is a much bigger team than the 5,000 seater stadium in turners cross might present. Its a model club for all teams after having a rich history after only being formed in 1984. The club rose up from the ashes of Cork Celtic (who the great geroge best made 3 appearances not registering a single goal) and Cork united respectfully. the team has won 2 league titles in Ireland and has a bustling youth academy. the team fell upen financial despair in 2010 being relegated from the premier division as the club lacked an owner and there fore a license. being hours away from liquidation the supporters bought the club setting up a union to save there club from the brink. now a fan owned club Cork City has the highest attendance in Ireland easily doubling the average of teams in there league winning a fai cup against the giants of dundalk and a great qualifying run in Europe being knocked out after a hard fought battle against Genk.*** After the 2015/2016 season Cork City apply for a chance to be the first Irish club to jump the channel and play in the football league appointing Reece o ' Dowda the legendary bristol rovers goalkeeper who brought ireland and bristol to european championships and champions league success respectfully. the application accepted its agreed Cork City will swap with morecambe from league 2 as they see the european opportunity as the best for their club. cork city taking the approach of building money and working though the english sytem giving them a better chance at continental success down the line . ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------( thank you for reading this i will be updating everyone and whats happening in my save i will also be planning on uploading to youtube so keep an eye on this post ) as a cork lad myself i feel this save will be very personal too me and so much fun to do anyone interested in the team feel free to ask questions its a great success story of a fan owned club i feel very proud to be apart of it copa 90 also did a great video on the rebel army id recommend watching! thanks again for reading!
