This is what promotion of nationalism does. Every nation does it at some level (but not quite to this degree!).

Promoting the idea that our nation is better than the rest. Pledging allegiance to a flag. Jingoism. The whole 'our country comes first' mentality...

We were born inside imaginary lines, and for most of us, that means we are lucky as fuck to be able to live the lives we do. Most of us didn't earn it.

I hear shit like "we won such and such war" and "if it wasn't for us..." That's bullshit. We did nothing. That wasn't us. Don't think you can take credit for something your grandparents did. Especially if you're of the belief that black people should 'get over slavery because it wasn't me, it was in the olden days so why should I get shit for it'

I hear "my grandad didn't fight in two wars for this bullshit"... Uh, yeah, he did. He fought against nations proclaiming supremacy over others.

And last of all, most of these problems stem from religious differences... Man; if you think that your god would want you to treat people like this, then fuck you and your god.
