You believe epistemology is connected with reality?

Plato's ontology and more generally western metaphysics is structured on harmonic ratios which Plato attempted to represent in perfect abstraction and thereby correspond that objective realm of truth back with perceived experience of "self-persisting" things in the world. That lacuna between intellect and sensual experience is erroneous. What's more it gets amplified by Cartesian foundationalism's substance dualism.

If you study western metaphysics you will find there was a catastrophic break in tradition at the time of Plato and Aristotle with the divorce of Being from Becoming. For the presocratics eidos was both tangible and perceptible, like being able to see auras or entities from the astral plane. Since Plato that realm, in all its various incarnations -- the forms, the creator god, a priori categorises of humanism etc., could not be directly experienced.

This was first identified by Nietzsche in his Birth of Tragedy where he talks about the aesthetic union of Dionysus (yin) and Apollo (yang) in a dynamic state of Becoming with regard to the fall into Socratic rationalism as the grounds for western metaphysics proper.

I mean you know the modifications and mental gymnastics Plato and Aristotle used to appropriate earlier thinkers, such as Parmenides and Pythagoras, into their systemic ways to thought are embarrassingly comical, right?
