I think you probably skimmed my comment and didn’t fully understand because I specifically said it’s fine to criticize the mechanic, but this post isn’t criticizing the mechanic it’s criticizing what happens when you ignore the mechanic.

I’m saying it’s perfectly fine to criticize the mechanic itself. If you complain that the game too EASY WITH them and want to say they suck and shouldn’t be in the next game that’s fine.

What’s annoying is the opposite. Complaining that the game is too HARD WITHOUT them being to hard. Because now you are complaining about willfully ignoring a mechanic that the game provides you, that’s on you.
