Adjustment Pay Rejection

The biggest bullshit about the adjustment pay is that they promised a leave of absence during the lockdowns would never be held against us. A coworker of mine took off time and ended up not meeting expectations for two reviews because of the months they took off. Fine, whatever. My coworker bit the bullet because that’s how review periods have always been. So they missed out on two raises for that time they decided to spend with family instead. NOW, that the adjustment pay is finally being considered they used that time that was taken off to not give them any adjustment pay. So now I’m making a significant amount more than my coworkers that has been with the company several more years than I even have. Feels like it should be considered double jeopardy. If the adjustment pay really was to compensate for cost of living and new hire rates then my coworker has missed out on $4.00 worth of raises in the last 2 years.
