Advice for bowling down and in

Okay,

Storm Breeze is an entry level ball that works well on medium/dry lane conditions. So the ball isn't going to hook well in heavy oil conditions.

You roll a solid ball and if you are going to get serious I would start looking into a higher reactive ball to sit next to that low reactive ball to start to get a feel for it and to also have something to move to when you are faced with heavier oil conditions which could happen if you decide to start throwing state and local tournaments. You aren't always going to be faced with an oily middle, light outside 40ft house shot. The Storm Optimus and Storm IQ Fusion may be something to look into if you are going to stay with that company. I only bowl with Storm equipment because its a comfortable transition between bowling balls since they are made by the same manufacturer.

The way your ball rolls it would be safe to start with your right foot on about the 20-21 board and put your ball out to the 5 board, that will allow the ball to move out and build energy to snap back into the pocket. If the ball hits light, move left a little and keep the same mark until the ball hits flush. The trick is to pick a mark on the lane and adjust your body to that mark. Its easier to adjust your body to the ball than to adjust the ball to the body.

Keep working, looks like you are rolling in a Brunkswick house. If they have a pro shop don't be afraid to utilize those guys. Most pro shop owners are also very seasoned bowlers and teachers of the sport and can drop some really great knowledge on a beginner bower.

Nice snap at the end of your shot, good form, and remember to lift with the fingers and not twist the ball with your wrist. When you get a higher reactive ball remember to let the ball do the work, that's why we spend so much money on the equipment.
