This year for the first time the alley asked us to pay with cash in one of these envelopes, are these still commonly used?

How is paying fees cheaper? Your argument makes no sense. Automation and technology put people out of work and also make them stupid because they don’t know how to do anything manually anymore. Case and point, people used to make money keeping score for leagues and tournaments. I used to be one of them. With auto scorers, no need for score keepers and most people have no clue even how to keep score because of that technology. Only serious bowlers do.

You act like counting money is a huge chore and an easier more tech way needs to be used. Fact is, it’s easy, no fees and everyone wins. It isn’t broke so don’t fix it. Are you that pissed you have to whip cash out of your pocket instead of tapping your card or paying with your Apple Watch? Get over it. For the record, no I am not near 60 but I’ll guess you’re 20 because you actually used proper grammar. I surmise you think I’m 60 because of the cell phone comment.

Actually, I’ve just managed bowling centers for a long time and know by watching, what people are doing and not doing. Specifically the younger employees are on their phones more than doing anything else, it’s a fact. Sadly, finding people to replace them is extremely difficult these days.

By the way, technology is NOT cheaper especially at a bowling center. Just upgrading a scoring system from a previous version to the latest is about 100k or more for an average size center. How is that cheaper than manual?

Your center allows you to pay electronically good for you and good for them. When your weekly fees get upwards of $30 with a tiny prize fund then remember this conversation. My customers will continue to enjoy $17 - $20 a week for lineage and prize fund. If it goes up at all it’s only because they want a bigger prize fund, not because our costs are up because of merchant fees. I’m done with this conversation. Down voted me all you wish dwarftosser77, I could care less and I don’t play that game. Any down votes aren’t from me.
