Thanks for your reply, it is helping, but it also raises questions about things I might not get.

The machine should be a server that runs multiple linux containers, at least 6 or so. The reason is, that I am a really bad server admin who does not like to configure more than needed (and running multiple softwares on one lampp eg easily requires that). If i understand you correctly I should therefore aim for 64gb ram?

As I will not use much data storage apart from the pictures hosted hy the NAS on the non ssd, I should be able to use only one ssd for proxmox and the lxc/vm since this raid idea seems to be non sense for the proxmox install and regular external backup of the containers better?
