Who is a director that you’ve watched a lot but never found a film you love from?

Incredibly cliché, do people remember that the (amazing) fantasy sequences make up maybe 12 minutes of the movie?

The rest of the movie is horrendously written; even the famous apple scene is pretty silly if you stop to think about it for a second. And my biggest gripe with GDT is his one-note villains. None get more one-note than Captain Vidal, who starts out with zero humanity and never sniffs an interesting character moment from there.

And there's a good reason the ragtag rebel story is never brought up when discussing the movie. They're boring. There is nothing new or interesting about these particular rebels in this particular war. Snooze.
