Bhai the SiG716i will be soon be used in a squad DMR role rather than being used as a main stay rifle unlike what it is being used as rn with the introduction of the 203s .Stop making shit up about u talking with the army guys and them telling u that we bought the SiGs to make the US happy. There was a legit trial in which ,in the end it came down to the Galil Ace Gen 1 in 308 vs the SIG716i. Had the Israelis offered us the newer Ace Gen 2s if pricing wasn't an issue the 716 would have had lost. The SiG 716i however is a bang for buck, fairly flat shooting DI rifle ,its civilian variant the 716tread was even rated as the best AR10 of the year in the US market before SiG decided to discontinued it. The reason behind the bad reviews is cause of the shitty OFB 7.62 *51 ammo and the poor heat dissipation cause of the MLOK handguard .Both of these problems can be fixed by fixing the ammo quality and installation of Rail covers .
