Eira here, with a much overdue update. A little bit of tl;dr explanation here, I painfully underestimated the full blow of junior year in high school. However, I have made adjustments to my classes to be more manageable, and now should be able to fit at least two hours a day into the server.
Luminoous and I have been working whenever we can to get the server up. I may seem to have been a little negligient of the forums, but be assured that I read all posts, applications and suggestions, and have been contacting chosen beta-testers as the days go along. If you have yet to be contacted, don't fret - beta has not started and there is a chance of acceptance up until the server is up and running for the beta testers.
General Changelog:
✔ As has been hinted at in the applications, there are now four class branches - Denizen, Marine, Pirate and Revolutionary. ✘ Details can be found here, although please note that the document is not final and WILL most likely be altered.
✔ Compared to the 40 or so islands in All Blue 1.0, the new world (hehe pun) now contains 80+ islands spread across the six sections of the world.
✔ The world size itself has been increased by 150 million blocks - 3 times its original size.
✔ A new host that costs less per RAM is now being used - this means possible future upgrades to the memory of the server if it continues to lag.
✔ The ocean is much deeper, from y=110 going all the way down to less than y=40
✔ Islands are bigger, as well as the space between them - this will be shown in screenshots below
✔ Quests are being implemented, and will be a much, much larger part of gameplay, sometimes even required in order to rise in rank.
✔ The thirst mod has been removed...
✔ But another less-aggressive mod takes its place, introducing temperature and hydration as factors that players have to be concerned about. Thirst no longer causes nausea, but can instead cause a painful death. In the future, sanity and air quality may be introduced as factors as well, however, I would like to see how the players handle the dangers first.
✔ Tinkers Construct has been removed; it was a gorgeous mod, but unfortunately brought many imbalances. Another much more diverse new-metals mod has taken its place.
