European Parliament Declares Gay Marriage and Abortion ‘Human Rights’

Hmmm... I don't know if the right to abortion necessarily falls into that category though, since by giving the right of one persom to control what they do with their body, you're also allowing that person to deny someone else the right to life. It is a stickier issue than gay marriage, which some might find distasteful or abhorrent or whatever, but which also doesn't impact anyone else significantly by comparison. And regardless of that, I don't see the cycle of negativity ending if the left is going to behave just as rabidly. What happened to peace and love, man?

There's nothing that justifies denying people equal rights or except antiquated belief systems

Beware of newfangled belief systems too, history is drenched in the tears and blood of uncountable multitudes at the hands of those who want a more progressive future than the antiquated belief systems of the world were providing. Hence the peace and love as a safeguard against that.

For my part, I am extremely pro-life, and think that gay marriage (which is different than other gay rights) is a stupid idea, though at this point it should probably be legalized, and there is no place for me amongst the left wing in my country. I can't vote democrat for many offices. So with whom am I to stand? I basically have no voice if I don't stand with someone.

Abortion is a cop-out, and a terrible cop-out at that. It is a way for society to permanently abandon millions in this country permanently. Will the republicans step up and take care of the causes of abortion? Individually, maybe—minority of them already do so privately, which is all well and good—but collectively they most decidedly will not. So that leaves the democrats, a vipers nest of traitors to most of the causes that they supposedly champion, for whom vitriol and rhetoric have replaced wisdom and workable ideas, and who daily validate the points that the republicans hypocritically (or not—in a hilarious way—depending on how you think about it, lol) make about government being ineffective, wasteful, and more harmful than if it were doing nothing.
