All these immaculate JDM Alpina E30s coming out of the woodworks. Here's one I saw at a meet yesterday, owner just got it, still has plastic wrap on the seats and wheel.

Yeah, I have a 325i 5-speed.

I'm overlooking it maybe because I am unimpressed by its performance. It has $1500 in (quality, non-China) suspension upgrades (Koni yellows, full poly bushings, big sways, various weld-in reinforcements) and still doesn't feel like it corners as well as the Neon R/T that I had before it, and although the ability to kick the ass end out is fun, it doesn't have enough power to do it easily and the chassis feels flexible as fuck.

I REALLY like my car, its like an extension of myself, I relate to it, but it has some serious shortcomings and I really don't understand why all these people are paying big bucks for them. Like I said, I understand why I like it, but I have vastly different and unrelatable tastes than the car buying public and other enthusiasts. I'm sure I will like my car a lot more if I ever get the money to put an S50 or S52 in it, which has been my desire for years now, maybe I'm just being hard on E30s because I myself am sick of having to drive slow cars when all I've wanted for decades was something with over 200hp that I can actually have some fun with. I don't find driving slow cars fun anymore.
