Free will means ability to choose between two options rationally and know what each option is or what it foresee.

Let's say that you rob a bank, you can earn billions or get caught, so you measure both options and pick which logically seems better for you <----- this is what I mean by free will.

When a student chooses between doing homework or having fun with friends, they make conscious decision and live the consequences. God isn't controlling your decisions.
